I love this shot....great concept by the organisers of this event. I have mentioned before that I volunteer with homeless people in my city, we serve food to maybe 60-70 people each night...sometimes they are well and sometimes not, but the main issue I see on the streets here are serious mental health issues (addiction being only a minority part) that cannot be addressed or treated because the souls involved have no permanent address. It's screwed up!

What a wonderful idea................how come the richest nations in the World allow this to happen in their streets. Β

The world doesn't make sense when fairness is assumed. The top 1% of people really hog all the well being...we live in a world of animals...us. and we are far from the future. Cheers for the comment my friend.

KEXP is still the best radio station I've ever heard. My favorite program is still the Saturday reggae show, Positive Vibrations with Kid Hops (although he's been there for at least 10 years, so he's not much of a "kid" any more). Β But KEXP is a very socially-conscious station, without embracing wacky causes (yes, I know, "wacky" is in the eye of the beholder).Β But most of the events that I ever heard them organize when I was spending a lot of time in Seattle were always positive, awareness-building efforts.
This is a really wonderful image, and I'll have a look at the other image in the morning (I'm off to sleep now), and I know I'll have a lot of questions about the event.Β But from looking at the image, I can't tell where this is.Β You know I love to play guess where Jesse was, when I look at your Seattle photos.
Great work, my friend!

White balloons seem to express the silence, and shoes, some absence. Beautifully captured.
