Something I did for fun. Raimaruuu<3
also the reason why it's scribbly as hell and doesn't cover everything. Derp.

Extra notes:

Alamarans have both a normal breathing system and a set of 'spiracle' breathing holes down their sides. These act as a partially developed backup system for if normal breathing is restricted (ie. via being choked) or to help replenish oxygen levels after heavy exercise.

If Raimaru's age were to be applied to Earth in real life, he would have been born in the last years of the middle ages, and grown up during the renaissance.... and all the way to present day.

Similarly to a lot of Earth species, Altamarans have muscles at the base of each hair that allow them to be raised and lowered. In short, their hair can quite literally bristle with anger or fluff up when surprised. Obviously this doesn't apply to long hair, as it's too heavy.

I imagine if your job was to fight wars, after a few hundred years of it, it would do something to your mind... I'm not sure what, but Raimaru is supposed to be incredible at his job, and bad at dealing with people outside of 'work' situations.

Those marks on his ears are holes made by enemy shots. Because of his advanced age, the cartilage of Raimaru's ears no longer regrows to repair damage to them. On the other hand, his hair does still grow, and every so often he gets it trimmed into the standard hairstyle for Altamaran soldiers (see alternate haircut). It doesn't usually stay that way very long though, as his active lifestyle quickly messes it back up again.

The symbol next to his full-body image is his official ministerial seal. It is usually worn on his clothes somewhere, usually in the form of a gold medallion or as embroidery. The same symbol is used to stamp any official documents he signs.
