Another evocative photoshoot at Hal-Faith last night, and after many shots, we both decided this was our favorite.

What appears before you is the pensive Jessi caught off-guard, the eternal daydreamer lost in meditation and the seeds of a story. Reflecting and separating the tangle of luminescent and dark streams in my head causes me to look skyward.

Allow me to indulge and share one of the tiny threads that drift in my mind based on the main theme from "Oppenheimer":

The vibrant theme more than captures the momentum of a nuclear chain reaction occurring. To me, such a vigorous , inspirational, and complex melody attains some of the universe’s silent resonances. The birth and death of the world rises, trembles, and is extinguished. Against the sorrow of mortality heard in one poignant melody, the love story of a man and woman, the two other countermelodies, sing against the unstoppable train of their ends. The acceptance of that mortality collides in a shatteringly beautiful crescendo at the end. Yet, above all, my heart cries from ethereal joy, so rare for me to feel, because I remembered we all are made of stardust, and that matter is neither created, nor destroyed. I feel my insignificance and simultaneously my essential vitalness to someone who thinks I matter. I remember that my loved ones who have passed on are gifting life to someone else in the air we breathe. The chain reaction of the universe. What we love truly never dies.

All this takes a matter of seconds for my hyperactive mind to experience and process. And only when I've collected my thoughts, do I turn toward your gaze or look at my blank page and share my reflection to you.
