I would have thought the roles would have been reversed.

I understand, as you looked very dependent on air in the picture.  Just don't let any real mermaids catch you doing that in their realm.  You know in here how they are with bubbles and imposters.

Gosh that tail is gorgeous! I wish I had the skills it took to make one. Or the money to have one made for me hehe.

Love your tail. Does the flowy part get in the way at all? Does it have no affect on your swimming or make it harder to swim?

the flowy part makes swimming very very slow. it's like a parachute.
the tails aren't made for swimming efficiently, they were made to just get the photograph and look... ethereal?
i hope that makes sense

I live near the water by San Francisco. I've always loved the ocean and wish I could become a merman since I was little. I go to the beach by the Golden Gate every now and then to be by the water and pray to Yemaya by the sea and it feels like home when Im there and just makes me ache to jump in and swim away forever. but the ocean here is very cold and I cant afford scuba lessons and dont have swimming pool. but even though I cant enjoy the sea, ill always love the sea and hope to be there one day.

Ahhh, yeah, i live down near newport beach. and even there i have to wear a wet suit whenever i'm in the ocean (i surf). I can only imagine how cold it is up in the bay area!! O_O!!

mexico is a magical place iwth perfect water temperatures (in the ocean). in the cenotes, where this was shot, the water was incredibly cold. thank goodness it was warm outside, so we could get back to a normal body temperature in between sets.

Ohh the waters like ice here. Can't even put a foot in the water. If I could go anywhere it would be scuba diving and free diving in Hawaii. It would be the most wonderful time ever and no need for wetsuit. if I lived there I would spend hours in the sea everyday. I can only dream and always do.

You must have wished you had gills so you wouldn't have needed to do this!

oh man, if only. actually. i'd just settle for a shorter tube. sucking air out of that was difficult.

You must have quite a bit of experience swimming by now. I've never been swimming in my life. XD

You know, before i started working with Brenda... i hadn't swam in almost 6 years. So i got the casting call, and practiced holding my breath (without also holding my nose) in my bath tub. She and i have been working together for 2 and something years now. and i have a LOT of experience now. it's just funny how little i had when we first met

Sounds like quite an experience, but that's great you got to broaden your horizons. It's awesome when you can meet people who open more things up to you like that.
