Benden is driving me insane. It has occured to him that perhaps the pixidragon is a tropical species, and so we find ourselves in southern callifornia, examining the exotic plants for signs of the creature.

No luck yet(of course.) but I've stumbled across a pair of spotted drakes. I've always liked these little dragons, the male is brightly colored to attract attention, while the female matches the plants around her. Another tiny species, perhaps two inches tall, the male being a little larger.

I've found myself thinking of my mother's stories a lot on this trip, and this pair reminds me of her tales of a 'bird' that is so in love, should it's mate die, the 'lovebird' would die as well.

Ah the stories of our youth... onward now... the pixidragon waits.

ahahah! yes, I tend to submit all of my work here first (except the book stuff, because they usually buy the first electronic printing rights from me). And rock on, I didn't actually attend conduit last year. I showed up, put my stuff up, then left. Had so much going on x.x

EEEK!!!!!! I am so glad I am going through all 400 of my backlogged deviations, or else I might have missed this!

Southern California...that's where I live! These guys might live in the pond in our apt. complex, next to the ducks.

Very very, cavity-inducing cute! I love the way the one drake's cheek is all poofed out over the other's head. SO CUTE!

Cute and colorful!! Definatly has that tropical feel to it; I think the warm brown background really gives it that feel! Such interesting little creatures... kawaii! Again love the intertwining! ^_^

X.x I sooooooooo did not mean for the colors to come out like this. I was going to do them in lovebird colors... but I accidently did the male in aquamarine >.< so I just kind of went with it.

They look sweet, I especially love their front paws, they make them look absolutely, disarmingly cute And, well, the tails do seem to work well now. A combination of a monkey and a cangaroo??? This did require bending my imagination a little *grin*

Oh? That makes me curious You know, I 've admired your art from the first moment I saw it, but I must say I love it more and more with every new pic of yours I see.
