Description
This is Bael. One of my demons. He's a halfling (yes I know we all have them) part angel part demon... though he is NOT a good guy.For those who were expecting me to do more wip posts on this... sorry... I took some more of my meds and got totally focused on the drawing so that I didn't fall asleep before I finished it.
If you want a list of the colors used, just let me know.
This was done in colored pencils... Not happy with the hands >.< ah well. The braids killed my brain. And the scanner munched it and made it look grainy >.<

YOu dont like his hands? Well I do. I love how it looks double jointed in the fingers. I think it is something you rarely see in drawings and a true talent few have. I like it. And so much detail in the work, its beauitful

What medium? I've been looking for some new techniques... (my current artwork on my page is horrible and out-of-date for me) And I love your technique! Grainy, but that's the scanner's fault. Scanners are evil.

Colored pencils on... crap... I can't remember what colored paper I used for this one. *goes to check* Right, on black cardstock. It's grainy because I scanned it at an abysmally low resolution.

You have one odd imagination but I like it. I think the hands look good, thought he left hand (right on the picture) seems to be bending out a bit to much.

Wow! Is it on toned paper? This is amazingly smooth for colored pencil! Definetly a fav, mate. What's that make, like 20 prints available from you now?

*laughs* I had to go pull the original out and look, I moved on to other drawings and this one was already out of my mind *grin* Nope, it's just like all my works... colored pencils on black paper.

You're not satisfied with the hands?! O.o They're great - at least in my opinion, but as a comment, that's supposed to be my opinion. ^^ Ah well, love the braids (thank you for giving me that new word, btw 
Oh yes, most people - especially fantasy artists, roleplayers and the like - seem to be fascinated by halflings of every kind. To me a halfling almost always represents the link between two worlds, which may or may not be quite oppositional (it is, of course, more exciting if those two worlds are the exact opposite to each other). Your Bael looks clearly more like a demon than an angel - at least I can't figure out any obviously angelic features on him. 
But since you wrote he's a rather bad guy, it's okay that way. Guess his attitude shaped his outer appearance, huh? ^^

As for Bael... well he's a little different. He's taken pains to appear more demonic than angelic, and he hides the tips of his wings so that the feathers aren't easily seen. He's got no claws or fangs. And has a very, very strong healing gift that can actually heal both demons and angels (in my little world angelic healing harms demons and vice versa)
However, he's also a slave trainer, a fighter, and not really interested in helping the world.

I definately get a dark feel from this, of a very high power. not necessarily evil though, which is good cause he isnt total evil right? its almost as if you want to bow to him and call him "My Lord", and fear him. either that or wish you hadnt met him

That hair is fabulous, I love the texture and shine of it, and the braids are beautiful! Good job on those hands, especially at that angle. And I love how he's peeking up through his hair haha.

Yes lovey, but everything's been done. I can't *think* of how many demon, angel, etc. characters I've seen... the catch is in making the personality into something facinating. And his halfbreed nature is NOT the center of his universe. Yes it is a facet of the character... but for the most part he is only halfbreed for the storylines, and for his abilities. Other than that, there's no angsting over 'finding himself' or any of the usual crap. More like trying to figure out what's the best way to skin someone and still have them live. *grin*

Those braids are simply amazing. And I really like his expression. He doesn't look like a nice guy. He seems more Demon than Angel. Lovely detail as usual.
