Description
Second of a trio of small butterfly dragon paintings for dragoncon. If you all are wondering why the abstracty backgrounds, it's because I'm on a stupidly tight deadline because I waited till the last minute to do these. So now I'm cranking them out real fast.Done in watercolors and colored pencils

any tips for working with watercolour?
i've had to switch to Opencanvas and that follows the 'watercolour' effect when colouring (so i can't paint light over dark) so any tips for blending (esp. for skin tones ) would be appreciated ^^

but you know water colour and the colouring principle ( i think ) is the same ( or why would it label it water colour?

I really don't know where to begin. I'm sorry, it's just not the same principle at all, since the first thing I'd say is use a lot of water *shrugs*

I think the background fits perfectly, actually. The transparency of the watercolors makes a really pretty contrast against the dragon... creature... thing. (I'm not sure what it is.

well considering that face is less than an eighth of an inch big... there's not really any room to do a 'face' to begin with.
