Some Ponyo fan art that I've been working on in my free time.I really hope you like it. ^_^ I'm pretty darn proud of it but it would have been better if I drew it out first on paper like usual. Completely done on SAI, even rough sketched it there.
70 something layers later and we got the finished piece.

So I am a bit pissed off.. I worked extremely hard on this picture, and a group denied it because they said it wasnt good.. :/ Ouch, feelings have been hurt.
Fixed a few lil details.

I'll Critique this one,
I Want to critique newer stuff because maybe i will just repeat a part that you've learned how to improve in.
Although i'm not a fan of Ponyo either xD
so lets start~

Good things - i like your coloring a lot,And the line art,and how you did the scales on the fish,
the overall picture looks really nice.
Bad things - Well first thing I noticed,maybe because i'm looking at the deviation while writing this critique,
Is the ship,you colored it with so much white,
Did you tried to light(?) it?
- I suggest you color it with less white (example: Only one line of white in the red/blue barrier
Also the bubble,i think it should be more transparent
-I Think that you could of make the white transparent,making the ship look kind of the same behind the bubble,but with a little lighting

Thanks, that was a great critique.
The boat was kind of a last minute add in and it defintely is the worst part of the picture in my opinion, and with the bubble on the boat.
The boat isn't behind the bubble, the bubble is attatched to the boat. Just like in the movie, but I had no idea how to make it look like that.
And the orange bit on the heads of the jellyfish are just a pattern on the jellyfish and it was on the movie too.

i see xD oh,well i think you should make the bubble squish into the ship,like when a bubble covers something,but i have no idea how it is in the movie xD
