interesting mad hatter or rather hattress, funny thing to note the reason a they would go mad is because the caps were cleaned with mercury they If I am recalling my facts right would skin the animals and use mercury to clean them, or something like that and this would make them go mad the contact with the Mercury.

I think that's right, and they would become more normal again when they were away from the mercury for a while. Dangerous occupation.
