Yup. It's not the characters, bad acting, or level rehashing that brings me back. It's the speedy gameplay and the thrills.Fun Fact: I've never created a Sonic fan character. Never wanted to. Even my Sonic fanfiction isn't about Sonic but more about Total Drama in the Sonic universe.

Yes, if I want a story I will pop in a Star Wars movie, or better yet write a sonic fan fiction. But as the games go, I like them for how well the controls function, and the overall playability of the game.

The Music while playing through a level is fun, and the story is a nice watch,
But Yeah GAMEPLAY comes first in any aspect of a Video Game, it's what's it's all about.

Eh I disagree, but I can see why Sonic gameplay can be fun. I do like it being fast paced than slow and progressive with annoying side quests.
However, I like the characters, story/plot, *some levels/ chao's* and the good acting. Plus the music and visuals. There are a few Sonic games where the plot was interesting: Sonic CD, Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic The Hedgehog 06, Sonic Colors and of course the interesting characters presented (Shadow, Rouge, Tails, Knuckles, Blaze ect).
I like a game to have plot and fill rather than just gameplay.
A good example of little to no plot *minimal interest* and good gameplay is Halo or Mario.

I play Sonic games for the Music, Gameplay, Visuals, Presentation.
Pretty much, I play Sonic games for everything but the plot.

The gameplay is so addicting. I think that's the main factor that keeps me coming back for more.
Though, I really like a lot of the characters, too.
The music also kicks ass.
Storylines are usually...meh, though.

Yeah teh sonic games are fun. the first 4 were the best though. The rest of my Sonic games are just kind of gathering dust on a shelf

AMEN! I don't know WHY a lot of people HATE Sonic games these days! The popularity & characters don't matter to me...the gameplay matters! As long as Sonic is still running, I'll still keep playing, PERIOD!

I forgot about the music. It's pretty hit or miss, but the songs I like are great!.
As for the story, never really cared for it, though Colors had some pretty funny lines.

hm I see... I just like to see more to games rather than gameplay for then it is truly no different than any-other board game... except it is on the tv..
