I think for something like this where it's a ground racer going at exceptionally high speed and the 'camera/frame' view is close to that of a stationary spectator the blur can work pretty well. On the other hand with something like a diving aircraft you can get away with crystal clear art because the camera is detached from an actual person and hovering up in the air (magic!), presumably moving at the same speed as the subject which can make it almost stationary in the frame.

Thanks! I think both versions have their merits. It all comes down to whether you like fine detail or action more.
