It's not a rip off from digimon. You can find something like that in most of all shounen series, like Dragonball Z (Sayjins), Naruto (like near everyone can change their normal form to a stronger one), Bleach, One Piece (The "Animaltype" Berrys), Attack on Titan (Eren transforms into a titan), [I know, not shounen] Sailor Moon (she got like three or four other Sailor Moon forms), ect pp. so you see, it is not a rip off.

I'm sorry, but i don't see a crime for just trying to make the fandom aktractiv for customer. Yes, Nintendo didn't invent the idea of changeing the form to a stronger one, but what should they do? Nothing? Well, Pokemon would be really boring these days of just remake older titel with best quality grafic on market without inventing something 'not' new.[and i'm sorry, but just realesing new pokemon will not make it anymore] White 2 and Black 2 wouldn't be so interesting without the fusion between Reshiram/Zekrom and Kyurem. (by the way, it seems like nobody is blaming that after all and that is a very old concept.)

I still would have been happier to see more new pokemon than for them to just breath more life into older ones through mega evolution. I still agree with the comic's point about giving mega upgrades to pokemon that don't really need them, like 3-stage evolution types like Charizard and Blastoise, and especially overpowered ones like Mewtwo.
On the plus side, I have no problem with granting mega evolution to pokemon that have no evolutionary stages to begin with. Pokemon like Mawile and Haracross come to mind.

Hey, one less cheap trick for a worthless victory for me to worry about. And bro, with so many Mega Mewtwo are running amuck, I'm surprised my poor Sylveon isn't a pile of blood and guts right now. I despise Mewtwo because of these mega evolutions. If I were up to aiding Gamefreak, I'd come down on Mega Evolutions like a ton of bricks. I'd make them last only 3 turns, until your stats get too high, or until you switch out. Once you use it that's your only one and you have to wait 5 turns to mega that pokemon again. That way, those cheap f ks won't have the ability to do any more Mega Mewtwo sweeps for an undeserved win.

Why do certain Pokémon need to go "Super Saiyan" all the sudden? Both Mewtwo and Charizard get the unfair advantage of 2 different forms! As if those two weren't overrated enough...

To be fair, Charizard wasn't even that good of a Pokemon to begin with, at least with a new Fire/Dragon typing it no longer loses half of its health to Stealth Rock.
As for Mewtwo however, I got nothing. It really did not need a Mega Evolution at all, let alone two.....

That's only if Charizard stays out in the field for the entire battle, though. If you have to switch him out for whatever reason and then bring him back in, he's weak to Rock again. You can only use that Mega evolution once in a battle, if I'm not mistaken…
That being said, when the time comes, I really want a Carbink on my team. I just got Black and Black 2 for Christmas, so I'm not too far behind anymore.

I think it stays in Mega Evolution for the whole battle, even if you switch it out. That's probably why you can Mega Evolve only one Pokemon in a single battle.
And that actually reminds me, I might have to get Pokemon Black/White so that I can use the PokeBank to import all my old Pokemon from Platinum....would you say that the cost is worth it?

I don't know. I never use Pokémon from my older games in new games. I prefer to start fresh each time. The only reasons I ever transfer Pokémon are either to trade with my boyfriend or to group my shinies together...
