Description On my fifth day in Crete this summer, I rode up to Lake Kournas 2 hours from Georgiopolis. It was a warm summer morning and both us humans, the four horses and the dog was ready to rest at the taverna near the lake. This is the only freshwater lake in Crete, yet it was open for swimming and boating. Look at it... so inviting!

Wherever you go, find someplace to ride. Riding through the countryside is the right way to see the country. I'll be posting some picture of the horses, some even taken while riding, just for you...

Really? that is awesome...thanks and I actually don't ride much but that sounds like fun! I lvoe horses and would ride if I had money but I have no way to get it and I am trying to get a job at the stables...
Yeah well some things are different when you don't have a whole family to go riding with you ...cause that is a lot more expensive!

Hehhehe... I think you'll want to go to Zakynthos, Kefalonia and Kos as well, when you see my photos from those islands... I go to Greece every summer. Except I might go to Ireland this summer for a riding holiday...

It is totally beautiful and a place that I would love to visit. You could get a job taking pictures for a tourisim company.
