I noticed you used blotches of color at the beginning of the piece, but what tool in photoshop do you use to blend in the blotches? And any suggestions for a beginner digital painter?
I also want to say I love how your paintings all look so VERY realistic! Keep up the great work!

I use the standard soft brush for 95% of the time in all my paintings. I block using the soft brush at the beginning of my paintings with the Flow and Opacity both on 100%, then EVERYTHING else such as the blending you've just mentioned, hair, clothes etc, I use the same brush but with the Flow and Opacity down to 50% on with the pressure sensitivity on. I hope this helps you.
I know other artist do things completely different, but I'm completely self taught and these brush settings and the soft brush acheive the results that I'm after. Good luck
