Do you wanna make your full game in some original sprite style? or something based on capcom/snk/etc.?

I have a vague idea of how I want the sprites to look, but I unfortunately haven't been able to get to the point of actually experimenting with it yet. I'd need to create some tests to figure out a good balance between something that looks decent and something that won't take 100 years to create. This mockup isn't really meant to give any specific indication of what the sprites will look like, but it kinda stands to reason that the sprites will likely share some resemblance with my typical art style.

MUGEN engine is the best way for create a fighthing game like your project the only problem its who can help you fore creating the characters

Well, it's something I've looked into a fair amount, and I'm pretty confident I could teach myself enough to at least create a rough prototype, it's just a matter of time. But programming isn't really the issue, I'd have to produce the graphics first
But, it is being worked on - in some form or another. Progress is just very slow because it's one hobby project among many.
