--GOA EDIT---Due to popular demand, I decided to submit this into everyday life. The powers that be told me that it'd be ok to make an exception for this particular picture, despite the fact that it was made months before GoA started. Plus this is very effective at showing what drives and motivates Skulhoarse to keep going, so in a way it's a very important piece of Skulhoarse art. Even if I don't get points for it, it doesn't matter, as I wanted to submit this more to provide further background on Skulhoarse.

Well damn, that took a while.
I got the idea for this after watching the anime Romeo X Juliet and the sadness that followed. I've never paid much attention to drawing plants or flowers, so the idea of drawing this many is completely new to me. However, I wanted to experiment so here we go. I don't think I've spent this long on a landscape before - most of the time for me, landscapes are background throwaway things. This time I spent some actual time fleshing it out and it turned out decent.
Anyway, this is depicting my titular character, Skulhoarse, visiting the grave (or monument, rather) of his late wife from his living days. If anyone's ever wondered what that out-of-place red ribbon on his sword was for, it was actually a memento his wife gave him for good luck before he rode to the battle that ultimately took his life. I drew him with his helmet off on this one, which you don't see very often, but I wanted to emphasize his sad remembrance in this picture. Not sure how well I pulled it off, but hey, nice looking picture.
Oh, and I drew this entirely on sketchbook pro. Man I love that program.

Yeah, honestly I've always wanted to try drawing this kind of environment, but didn't know of a good method and never had the proper inspiration. Well I got it this time, heh.

Well he created the name "Skulhoarse" for himself after he rose from the dead since his memories were in pieces. This would be after he got managed to reconstruct some of his memories, where he finds out he had a wife back when he was alive but she's gone. Since she died tragically, she doesn't have a grave, only this forgotten monument. That's the idea anyway.

What a great story, as he would be a death knight, right?
What is the role that he does as a spirit being almost complete memories? It's lonely or have allies?

The number one thing you don't want to do with this guy is call him a "death knight". He's a very religious warrior of god who lives and breathes good deed, and the only thing antiheroic about him is the fact that he's undead. You get so many antiheroes and evil-wannabe good guys nowadays that an actual GOOD GUY is rare. Heh.

It would be great to know Skulhoarse Shadow, my OC. She is something like an anti-heroine because she does not decide whether to side with the forces of darkness or the side of the heavenly angels and divine justice D:

Well one big thing in the way I write these stories, is that "good" and "evil" are more matters of opinion/perspective subject to interpretation and not absolute forces. Skulhoarse really is just a guy who tries to do what he believes is good based on the religion he was raised on, which he comes to find out is just as corrupt as any other "evil" force out there, but he still does what he believes is right. In a nutshell, anyway.

So if he is tempted by evil, automatically it will do its best to help others?
But what if he is controlled by some evil? o.o??

He follows what he believes is good through and through. Which means he could get manipulated by someone crafty enough to deceive him, as is the case with a lot of good guys over the years. God help the person who deceives him if he finds out though.

So I must say that your character is very strong, I love that the characters take their destiny without being dependent on anyone or anything, but I can not say the same for Shadow ...
She is always with the help of their teachers, who supposedly are my brothers, protecting when she needs them in difficult times.

Which one is it specifically? I didn't see it on there. Interesting though, on looking at your avatar, you've got that helmet-wearing character everywhere whose design reminds me a lot of Skulhoarse's helmet (what I have on my deviantID and avatar). Interesting.

Kiva Helmet (the one with the helmet) she is my personality "fighter" so to speak, also a great pal of Shadow, there are times that I have joined them but in other stories. Look what happened, I did not know what you'd call Kiva much attention.

Oh I see. Interesting design. Yeah, the way I designed Skul is that he is everything you'd expect a "holy warrior" to be, except that he's undead, so his existence kinda contradicts his beliefs/way of life, so if anything he'd probably be opposite yours in some form. And also, I like the whole helmet thing so that's why Kiva got my attention. Heh.
