i plan to go back there later this week, but i may not be able to access it though; we were on the freeway today and drove by another part of the river and due to all the rain we've had the river is hella high and the beach is completely under water!

En älv är en svensk flod, fast i allmänhet är väl floder bredare och mindre strida än vad älvar är.

Längs med älven? Älvbrinken? Stranden? Jag har badat vid vid stranden i Vindelälven, men det var en sandstrand vi menade då, inge gränsen mot vattnet rent generellt.

i really like this picture. its unspectacular but evolves its calm and natural beauty when you have a closer look.
the position of the observer is in the shadow and the sky is clouded, but the opposite shore of the river is in sunlight and so are the treetops. the arc of the old bridge that gives name for the picture is barely recognizable in the distance and the softness -due to the photographic material chosen- is palpable in the whole scenery. even the sand in the foreground appears so soft. the "random" elements like the wooden stick or the filament and the dark edges add an analogue touch. the natural blur and colours remind me of some french impressionism oil paintings.
