Wow, what a breathtaking piece!Β I love how every aspect of the landscape pulls your eye to the character.Β From the pool of water, to the rocky shores, the framing of the trees and the waterfall behind, they all draw your focus to her.Β And there she is emerging from the mists of the waterfall.Β I really like all the detail you put into her.Β Her warm color palate makes her stand out from the rest of the pice, but at the same time, the gem around her throat and the skirt make her one with the backdrop.Β Β
What is her name?Β Out of curiosity?Β

Thank you! Iβm glad the composition is working! At the time I painted this I was first starting to be more mindful of composition, so Iβm glad it works! c:
And her name is Kian! She is from one of my bigger world building projects. c:

(Sorry. Don't read this if you don't believe in chain mail. I don't take risks.)
Β Carry on reading! Or you will die, even if you only looked at the word warning!
Once there was a little girl called Clarissa, she was ten-years-old and she lived in a mental
hospital, because she killed her mom and her dad. She got so bad she went to kill all the
staff in the hospital so the More-government decided that best idea was to get rid of her so
they set up a special room to kill her, as humane as possible but it went wrong the
machine they were using went wrong. And she sat there in agony for hours until she died.
Now every week on the day of her death she returns to the person that reads this letter, on
a Monday night at 12:00 a.m. She creeps into your room and kills you slowly, by cutting you
and watching you bleed to death. Now send this to ten other pictures on this one site, and
she will haunt someone else who doesn't. This isn't fake. apparently, if you copy and paste
this to ten comments in the next ten minutes you will have the best day of your life tomorrow. You
will either get kissed or asked out, if you break this chain u will see a little dead girl in your room

Nice job on this! I like the composition, it makes the character look so small in comparison to that great, gigantic waterfall

I think this is my favorite piece of yours (although you are an AMAZING artist). I love environmental paintings like this and I envy the artists than could pull them off. (I'm such a nerd for this stuff.) Beautiful composition and rendering.Β

Love that waterfall, it looks so natural with how you have it flowing around and over the rocks. Β This really does look like an area that someone would go to practice with their skills or to meditate, excellent work! May I ask how long it took you?

ThankΒ you! Hm, hard to remember since it's been a while since I finished this one- but my full paintings normally take between 10-20 hours.

That works out great then. =o How'd you learn to work so quickly? I'm still pretty slow, myself.

Ah haha, I'm not sure- I consider myself a slow painter! I suppose just practice and repetition helps speed up the process.Β There is one exercise that I find helpful for painting speed- You can try timed daily studies at 30 min or 1 hour and try to get as much done in just that time limit.Β
