I like this piece but never finshed him, actually he's been sitting here in my studio for well over a year (I have lots on abandoned pieces). But I really hate to paint so ... I've put the breaks on this piece. I admire those what can paint, I just hate the look of my stuff painted (by me) LOLRelated content

Not everything needs to be painted, I love to sculpt in clay but hate to glaze. Sometimes just a wash of a darker color (to bring out highlights) is the best finish.

Lordy, this piece is a beauty. If you every get him painted, do post a picture! For that matter, I'd love to see the updated picture of him with the staff and his "puppy."
As for now, I can content myself with the unpainted, unfinished version. It's fantastically detailed, the pose if great, and I love his clothes' design.

I'm one to talk cause i haven't done anything in a while but consider this, hook up with a warhammer player, better yet one who paints the figures all the time
they can do some stunning effect with paint on polymer models. just a thought. BTW love your stuff, do you do commisons? my daughter would die at the sight of that centaur.

Oh I wish I had a local painter too! I can't seem to wrap my brain around the whole process... computer painting... fine, but the real deal? It all comes out clumpy and lame, LOL.. maybe someday I'll take a class or something!

*clings* Ohhh... What I would give to paint this piece of yours. I've always had an affinity for painting sculptures, but the problem is I can never do them. I mean... I can... They just take me several years to make and tend to turn out crappy.
This is an absolutely beautiful piece. I was so lucky to stumble across your gallery. I beg of you... Please post more pictures of your sculptures. They are absolutely remarkable.

He is sculpted in Polymer clay, and eventually I gave him a staff and he has a dragon like dog at his side (which he has his hand resting on basicially saying "good boy" LOL
Guess I shoudl take a pic
Anyhow, he's sculpted in polymer clay.
