I posted the original version of this picture back in 2011 - see fav.me/d46i8gc . I always felt it could use more work, but changes mean doing lots of test renders, and the picture was taking so long to render that I had to bring it to a halt sooner than I liked.I have lots more processing power at my disposal now, so I decided to resume work on the picture. I've replaced the grey daleks with silver ones that look better in the dark environment, I've reworked the wall blocks to make them greyer and slightly more rounded, and I have completely rebuilt the floor.

If only the heads at the BBC had considered to keep the color schemes for the Daleks with the silver and velvet blue style during 1972-1973 along with the round,triangle earlights
instead of the grey version during that time,that would have made them more popular than before.

I was once told that they changed the colours because they switched from black-and-white to colour broadcast in 1970, and they thought the silver/blue scheme didn't look good in colour. They were wrong.
