Description
This is Pinkie Pie! I have been a MLP fan since 2011. I will admit that some of the “Friendship Lessons” are becoming more mundane as you continue the series. You can sort of tell that the same problems are repeated just in different situations with different characters. And of course, they sign off the episode by interpreting the lesson differently but with the same moral. But I still enjoy watching it because MLP surprisingly gives me hope for my friendships. I will admit that I actually did learn something about friends by watching this show. And I kind of always hoped that whatever I learned would help me with my real life friendships…
Any who! Pinkie Pie is not my favorite pony. Derpy/Ditzy is and has been since 2013(?). But I chose Pinkie (once again) because of her color scheme. I myself am not a lover of pink. But for some reason, I really love working with it! So yeah…
And for the process of making this. I used 3 layers this time. One for the sketch, one for the background (which includes the balloon), and Pinkie. I sort of did a mixture of what I did with the Amethyst and Terezi pieces. With Terezi, I just painted on colors and blended so it actually didn’t take too long while with Amethyst, I manually blended everything but I wasn’t too happy with that blending either. So I mixed the two by splashing colors, blending, then manually blending to sharpen things, make it brighter, etc. And I think I will stick to this process until I figure out something that takes less time but gives off the same “I-did-this-digitally-and-you-can-tell-but-it-looks-like-I-used-chalk” look.
