Species Name: Lingling | 铃灵 (from 铃 "bell, chime" + 灵 "spirit, soul")
Basic Info/Traits: Tiny, rabbit-like nature creatures/spirits with leaves as ears and on their puffball tails. They are magical in nature and are said to bring good or bad luck depending on the type. They all have bells on their leaf-ears which can vary in number depending on the rarity. Common ones have their eyes closed but rare ones may have their eyes open. They can have any kind of hairstyle and wear any style of clothes but usually something simple/casual/oriental. They may have accessories such as ribbons, hairpins, necklaces/collars, etc.
Size: Palm-sized(~2 inches/5.08 cm tall) see below for size comparison to an average hand

Lives in/Found in: Gardens, forests/woods, houses. If you want to attract one, you can leave some konpeito or other sweets around and they might be attracted and make an appearance! They are usually hard to spot though but if you do you might be able to keep one like a pet/companion if you keep giving them stuff they like and they take a liking to you enough to stay!

Sound: They usually don't make any noise other than the small ringing of the bells on their ears when they move around, but when they're happy they will make a tiny/high pitched trill/chirping sound similar to a cricket or a small bird
Mobility: They stand and walk around on two legs but their movements can be pretty clumsy due to their body proportions(aka huge head lol) They CAN fly/float around but they do not have visible wings except for rare occasions. They can also turn themselves invisible to hide if they feel threatened.
Diet: They do not need to eat since they are essentially magical beings/spirits, but they do enjoy treats like fruits, sweets, and they especially love konpeito(star candy)
Personality: Can be anything but tends to vary depending on the type.
Types: Good Luck and Bad Luck

Good Luck:
fur is white, bells are gold, leaves are green
they appear in the houses of those who have done good deeds and live honest lives
said to bring good luck/fortune to the home it is seen in (aka good business, good harvests, luck in romance, good family relations, etc)
personalities are usually sweet and somewhat shy or playful
Bad Luck:
fur is black, bells are silver, leaves are red
two small horns near their ears
they appear in the houses of those who have done bad deeds and live dishonest lives
said to bring bad luck/fortune to the home it is seen in (bankruptcy, illnesses, affairs, family problems, etc)
personalities are usually mischievous and reckless; pranksters
