I grew up reading comics in the period where they stopped translating a lot of the names, but back in the day Tchalla was called "Pantheren" (You'll never guess what that means), I just think Coal Tiger sounds more... I don't know epic, then The Black Panther...

I like it, but wasn't really aware of that alternate name. Plus, not to mention the group called The Black Panthers.

Oh, I'm just saying it's tricky having two benchmarks in African-American history, both sharing the same name but for different reasons, only to find out one has another similar variation.
