Sailor Moon was one of the first animes I watched (and Dragonball/Z
) and my mother made me a Sailor Moon costume for Halloween when I was about 10. Who knew that I would be prancing around in a Sailor Scout outfit again... many years later! Although Venus wasn't my first choice to cosplay (but it's always hard to pick!), I think I relate to her very well -- well, not all her boy crushes -- but definitely her silly and loyal sides. All the scouts have qualities that young girls (and guys) can look up too, which is why the show is just so classic! *dreamy childhood memories*As for the outfit, I made most of it before my trip to Finland so I wouldn't have to rush when I got back plus I was able to use up the rest of my Emma Frost (white) fabric! I couldn't find an orange fabric that I wanted, but in the end I think this orange worked well in making the outfit more 'cartoony' and ... fantastical! (I was even able to find orange shoes!)

Wowww... I didn't know you like Sailor Moon... one of the greatest classic animes of all time. Your pose is great... but I have always thought that the Sailor Scout uniform is a little antiquated for a hand to hand combat or an intense action scene... specially, for the pantyshots =/ (the worst enemy for a Sailor Scout).Β Don't you think?
I hope that your costume should not have made you feel uncomfortable while you were wearing it.
