Description Done at a workshop from a reference. 24x30 or there abouts. The workshop director told me to stop but I may tinker with it a little more. Changed the road, dirt and fields. Maybe the tree a little too.

I didn't stop here but I didn't change much after this. I lessened some of the light on the lit hill, tried to push it back a bit.

I really think it needed to be pushed back.

I was able to keep some of the spontaneity even though it was done in a studio setting. Thanks..

It isn't the canyon, but probably in that general area.

When you say reference do you mean a photo, or where you outside? This painting reminds me of where I grew up. The Pacific Coast of California.

same hills probably, only the valley side. This is from a photograph taken near Patterson, CA.

Okay, I've passed it while driving on the 5 before. I use to travel between Sacramento and Bakersfield alot while I was in College.
