for this matte painting I wanted to achieve a photoreal , cinematic look with that very big structures inside the castle , being this a fantasy castle I didn't want it to look too unreal . hope you like it , this was part of a contest at pluginz.com based on a real photo source the guys at that site provided, it is no full 2D painitng it's a combination of photo manipulation and 2D paintingRelated content

I immediately thought that it was a mixing between the Imperial City from the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and the city Helm's Deep from Lord of the Rings. Very nicely done.
