Concept Art of a series of military/sci fi images I'll be doing in my spare time,we always picture Aliens invasion but now let's see it the other way, Humans invading worlds, Space Wars, Explorers, etc.I'll just hope I have the time to keep designing this stuff, hope you like it ! more to come soon !

I see 5in gun & Sea Sparrow launcher at the aft, but no CIWS in sight.

That Sea Sparrow aft is actually a RAM CIWS system.

I dunno, maybe because I'm an oldschooler, but for me, if the ship don't have gun-based AA defences, it's not complete.
Missile still can be jam, but bullet can't. You can jam the targeting radar for the gun, but if it's on manual control, it's still operational.

Yeah, because lets be honest, if there were any invading going on its probably humans who would do the invading. We do it to each other, why not to aliens on other worlds? If those aliens are not at least as equally advanced as us we will steamroll right over them and take all their stuff. We might even actually enslave them. I have no faith that humans will have learned their lessons from the past when applied to a new alien world. Most humans would use the excuse "well they're not human". And those who would stand against that kind of behavior would be shut down quick, either by calling them traitors or crazy or disappeared in "accidents".

If any future Avatar movies are going to be even remotely realistic this is what it will look like when the humans come back to Pandora.
