Did you do the backround art for literally every sci-fi ever?

This is one of my all-time favorite images. I've tried to make clouds like this with limited luck. I'd love for James Cameron to like one of my novels and do a film. So great to see your work.

Β You actually worked on Avatar? In that you're a professional artist, who worked on a top quality film? Okay, if that's not Watch quality, I don't know what is!

My jaw LITERALLY dropped during this scene, you and your coworkers did an unbelievably amazing job!
The Venture Star and Valkyrie shuttles were perhaps my most favorite aspect of the movie, despite their short screen time. One thing I didn't get was that if the Venture Star is suposed to be propelled away from Earth with the photon sail, and the antimatter engines slow it down to Pandora, why is the ship moving sail attachment first and crew modules last in the movie?

This shot blew my mind! How did you find suitable cloud and earth textures? I assume you guys didn't use photos from the web for stuff of this quality? Did you use anything like Vue at all?

Excellent job. I really love all the research and background work that went into this movie. It gives the science part of "scifi" more credibility than if it were completely fiction.
What kind of hardware were you running to make such massive image files?

I just want to say...My hat is off to you sir, and you're unbelievable talents. The creation, design even idea of the ship is so unreal, and yet I can see the similarities to real technology that would be used today or in the next several decades. Everything is spectacular.
Quick question however. I never came to understand exactly which end of the ship is the front. The large red structures? Or the solar panels?

You actually helped MAKE that movie?!?! You're amazing, man! Frickin' AMAZING!!
Since you were directly involved, let me give you my opinion: The concept of humans riding to alien worlds, after years of hibernation, in gigantic starships for the purpose of mining resources (despite disapproval from the natives) was portrayed in such a way that I'm sure that's how it will really be done in the future. As for Pandora's biology, it was much more alien and much more richer in life than any fictitious planet I ever seen. However, the Na'vi themselves could have been less humanoid in appearance.
And to have an actual alien sex scene in the movie...well, that totally blew my mind, because I never seen that in a movie before! That was different in a good way!
Do us all a favor: Give James Cameron a great big "THANK YOU!" from his fans for creating one of the greatest movies ever to show up on the silver screen!

Nice work! Probably the one thing I admired about the movie (aside from how jaw-droppingly good the 3D was, of course), was the attention the spaceship received, even if it was only shown once.
