Another practice piece I had here that I forgot to post.Started of as a sketch from an Alaska landscape then turned into something...hughmmm... gloomier

"Planet Boralis IV - Near Equator - Expeditionary Force Gamma - Day 12: We've been pulsing through the snow for hours since the roller broke down again, trying to find our way back to base camp. There seems to be an anomaly, some sort of magnetic field in this sector which have a degrading effect on electrical circuts including our WristComs, sadly we noticed this far too late as it has started interfering with my neural GPS, everyone else seem to experience similar issues. Long story short we're lost having been led astray by our failing equipment. Our current location is 40km north-north west of basecamp, we think. We should be able to reach it with 2-3 more days of walking. No sight of the probe we we're supposed to collect however John G claims to have seen 'something odd' and can't shake the 'feeling' that we're being followed, that was yesterday. The captain dismissed this since scans of lifeforms turned out negative. I'm inclined to agree with the captain but i can't deny sharing John's feelings, something doesn't seem right with this place."
"Day 13 - 07:36 am : We woke up today to find out John's missing, he must've left sometime during the night. Seems like he left in a hurry as most of his stuff lies strewn around the entrance to his tent. Sara and the others split up to try and find him leaving me to clean up John's mess, typical! We decided the safest thing would be to return to camp before dark so we don't risk anyone else getting lost, having one person to look for is bad enough"
"09:50 pm : While i was gathering up John's belongings i found his backpack outside the camp, torn asunder! Looks like.. bitemarks?! The others havn't come back yet. They should've hours ago!"
"Day 14 - 01:23 : I'm definitly not alone out here but it's not one of us. The bioscanner isn't showing anything but it's probably affected by the anomaly as well, so much for the corporate standard, useless crap! I could've sworn i saw a pair of eyes momentarily shining at me, reflecting the moonlight."

I don't know, I really like the gloomier aspect of it. It really says a lot in this one scene. For example, the man off in the distance could be overlooking the destruction of Alaska. The color is simply stunning and it's truly hard to find word to describe this painting other than well done!

very nice work, I really like how loose it is, yet still so expressive. I really like it when a picture reads well, but when you look close, you can see the brush strokes, here and there. To me it just makes it more artistic. Love it!
