He was made in the Golden Age and worked in delivery. He did this for a long time before deciding to change to become a gladiator. He nearly died from his first 5 fights. But after that he got the hang of his techniques and found himself talking to Megatronus. He didn't really believe Megatronus but after watching Megatronus's fights, seeing how other could rally to his side, and the way the High Council tried to shut him up got Blackout to truly question everything about his home.

He joins Megatronus and introduces Soundwave. Blackout later gets himself a upgrade to his right arm. His right hand could form into a flat surface and it would be a E.M.P. Later he joined Starscream's seekers in bombing Iacon but after that mostly defended Kaon. Blackout was perfectly fine with his role as a hound almost for Megatron. But he was unable to stop Optimus from getting to Megatron and fighting him. Once Megatron left Blackout became less lowly to the Decepticons.

He hanged around Lockdown, Impactor, Snapdragon, Broadside, etc. The bots who weren't on either side. Well would switch from side to side. But once he was told by Lugnut they were leaving to chase the Autobots he took the chance. He was actually the first Decepticon to board The Ark but was the 25th to fall off The Ark. Stasis kept Blackout trapped on Earth for centuries before waking to the present Florida.

He attacked the army base there and scanned the Sikorsky MH-53 Pave Low helicopter. What did peek Blackout's interest a bit was the sighting of a big robot causing lots of damage in Cuba caught his interest. But once heard the sort of description he just tried to stay as far as away as he could. The description was of a robot transforming into a Soviet MiG-25 Fighter Jet AND a Type-74 Assault Tank. To Blackout this just screamed Blitzwing.

That Con could never decide on one alt mode could he? But one that ACTUALLY caught Blackout's attention was robots fighting in California that caught his attention. So Blackout decided to fly from Florida to California. But in Alabama he heard some communications on the Decepticons comms and went to the main source. And it was in Mississippi.
