I say, mysterious and interesting.
I like how the city in the background is sort of faded out, it makes it even more mysterious.

First I noticed the rider and the horse, but the light of the sky (and maybe the title too) draws all attention to the right side of the painting, wich kinda makes you face the same direction with the rider. That's a cool effect.
Other thing worth of mentioning is how you use brightness of colors to create depth. Adding something (like a leaf or a stone for example) very close to the "camera" might highlight the sense of depth even more. Allthough, when there is something really close to the camera, it makes the wathcers feel like they were hiding from the rider behind the leaf/rock.
Also, the perspective makes me think, that I'm a gold coin, that fell off from the riders pocket.
... So, that's what I think. Sorry if I'm not making any sense.

I think about a young woman on her brave horse, who had been out to go hunting. Her family is without a dad so she is doing her best to make the winter as compftable as possible for her mum and her younger sister.
What story were you thinking of? I love it!

I look at this scene and it pulls me into another world, a harsh world, slow moving, with extreme difficulty of just traveling from one place to another. I see the man finally arriving at the city after his arduous journey, finding a place to rest, eat, drink, interact with others.
Does he stay or continue on to the next city?

Love the composition, details on the mountain and a blurry sky - really gives some air to the piece. But I think the perspective is a bit misleading in the foreground - I have a feeling as if the trees were dwarf pines, or the rider gigantic. I know that it's not the intended effect, but my brain has trouble processing it correctly.
