Another photomanip done with Shepard and Liara from Mass Effect. This one was made as a present for . The Shepard featured is his Shepard, Kate. She and Liara are enjoying a peaceful and romantic dance on the balcony of some restaurant that overlooks the Illium skyline.None of these characters are mine...they are BioWare's from the Mass Effect IP.

Quite beautiful. The slight graying of Shepard's hair while wearing highly ranked ceremonial military garb, countered with Liara's emphasized youth truly reinforces the depth of their relationship. Love wins overall else, unending but yet so fleeting.
The tragedy of their true love in its beauty.

Yes... reminds me of the kiss after the battle with the Shadow Broker. That definitely looks to have taken her by surprise. I hit button too late the first time to get it so I went back to replay it just for that.
Still it felt right having her at my side both on Ilium against Vasir and later against the Shadow Broker. She felt so much more like her old self... aside from that one moment when you go to see her in her office on Ilium.
I enjoy romancing her as archaeologist and later as an information broker. One can only hope ME3 yields something that matches or tops what we have already seen.

I mean I'd like to think something coming back for means more than just her... I mean Shepard and Liara obviously did more via Union than just join minds.

Yeah, the Union creates a bond of some sort and a part of the partner lives on in each of them. I think that's what you're getting at..the spiritual aspect of it, beyond just the material stuff (a marriage paper and children), right?

That's more or less how Liara describes the union. The partner lives on in her, in her daughters. Meaning one enjoys the time, not what will one day follow because Liara is likely to outlive Shepard.
Marriage... daughters... something more than just love... its like you can't find the words for it... you just know it when you see it.

THIS is the romance scene that needs to be in Mass Effect 3 more than anything. Even though I'm also a big Tali fan, I think it's more important to see this tender and happy side of Liara that was rarely present in ME 2.

I'm almost crying...that is absolutely beautiful. I adore Liara's peaceful, contented smile, and how closely she's snuggled up to Kate. This also fits perfectly with the nature of Kate and Liara's romance, and how I believe it to develop within my headcanon. Gorgeous, and stunning. Thank you so much. Merry Christmas! <3
