phew! I got it done before deadline!

I had an interesting time with this month’s theme, as philosophically, I don’t believe in endings. I just don’t….people’s lives just blend-in one to another, countries, words, light, time, they just all go on like space, boundless and forever. Even in death, the soul is eternal.

It occurred to me then, that the only thing that ever truly ends, are stories. The written word, or what’s plugged into a tv now a days. We’ve all been through it, that favorite novel series, that ‘must watch every night’ tv show…the sadness in us when they inevitably stop. Even the things like Harry Potter that manage to breathe on-screen well after the books are done being written…it’s still over. Once the writer/creator pens those last words, that’s it.

No more. The end.

So that’s what I’ve chosen to show here, that moment of ending, that last page’s refection. Oddly enough I decided to depict it with one of my original characters from my own writing, my Nari (© J. Leigh) who shares my enthusiasm for reading. Again, oddly enough this scene is from the middle of her own story, but the tale she’s reading has come to an end.
