Don't know if you can tell by some of my other drawings, but I'm a huge fan of all things Thordom, and when I got a request a few weeks ago to do a pencilled commission of Loki, well, what can I say?In this piece Loki has taken the throne of Asgard, and has rendered Mjolnir from Thor's grip - or has he? You decide.
I went for a little more of a looseness to the pencil strokes and shading, more organic feeling I think - may be a challenge to an inker?
Anyway, 9x12 bristol, 3-h lead, some blood, a little sweat, and minimal tears.
I just got another commission order for an Odin, Hela, Thor, wolves & crows piece which lands in my late August schedule slot - this was a good warm up!

Really great Loki - I guess he's a man again in the comics. It's funny how his depiction has changed. He was originally drawn really scrawny and undernourished when he first appeared in the comics and has gradually gotten more buff.
Really looking forward to the Hela! She's definitely my fave female comics character - even if she is a bit "b-list" these days.

Yeah, Loki's a great character with a great psyche to play with - hope they do the movie justice, and take it seriously - I'd love to see a Thor movie on par with The Dark Knight's quality.
