Crash Man falls into my second favorite Robot Master subcategory: those without hands. I'm actually a little surprised I didn't mention this when I did Fire Man... or maybe I did? I don't remember.

Anyway, Crash Man's got a few particularly strange things about him. Gameplay wise, its a little strange that he only attacks when you do... surprisingly honorable, or maybe just an impetuous knee-jerk kind of thing. His hands look like drills, although those are actually just the tips of his weird little crash bombs, which despite being tipped with drills, always look like they are attached to surfaces with little claws or hooks. He also has this kinda visor thing, which has been variously misinterpreted in artwork in some interesting ways, most notably in Super Adventure Rock Man, where it looks a bit like a zeppelin sticking out of his forehead. He's actually pretty terribly off-model in that game...

Like Quick Man, he's fairly popular for no reason in particular. I seem to recall him appearing in the Mega Man cartoon, and he even made it into the first Power Battle game. As I said above, he's a boss in Super Adventure Rock Man, and he was pretty awesomely redesigned by Hitoshi Ariga to have some totally badass, Heavy Arms style hidden weaponry.

He's also apparently a homosexual? Like Quick, Crash Man was immortalized by Hyadain in a somewhat alarming youtube video. Very cool.

I like Crash Man, basically for no particular reason. He's just neat looking.
