The companion piece to Autumnsong Heartbonding Pt. 1 , done FOREVER ago. I've been so slow about doing my half. @_@The berries they shared during the Glow Festival were so good, they decided to go out and get more! It's a wonderful oppurtunity to spend some time together, enjoying a late spring afternoon and each other's company. They weren't the only ones who liked the berries, though! Astor's beird, Mistral, has tagged along to snag a few for himself.
There were lots of challenges in this picture, even if they weren't the ones I thought I was getting into. XD Lots of glowing, sparkling, FINALLY stabalizing Lorcan's design, and playing with more specialized brushes!

The background was a good change for me to experiment with brushes. I did the grass and tree with my favorite Oil Brush, but the bushes are carefully layered texture brushes which were a pain in the butt because you had to be very careful about what direction and with what pressure you moved the stylus. @_@

I sometimes wish that Sai had directionality based textures lol, but we make due with what we have, right? :3

ahhhh I LOVE IT! <3 <3 <3 Lorcan's plumage looks so good, and Astor's expression is so soft! Mistral is mischievous and wonderful and the background looks so good with those tasty berry bushes!
And the SPARKLES!!! AHHHHH!!! it's perfect!!!!
