I always like the color purple so I had use that for the sword and choose the color polar opposite of purple which turned out to be yellow for the gun.

Good choice! I do that a lot and purple with orange/yellows is one of my favorite combos.

Ah, I see. Yes, Purple and Orange are contrasting colors. Yellow works, too, but she did use a sort of orange/yellow - which works better with purple.
