For generations the Gerado family has been breeding and showing the pure Spanish Horse. Dacion Gerado's father has a farm in Spain, a farm in Brazil, and a new one in Mexico. Their grandfather has been working on a line of PRE horses which excelled in Eventing. Dacion's grandfather was named Estevan, and in tribute to him, they named this beautiful sooty buckskin stallion. He's a little short and a bit thick for what his grandfather was trying to achieve, but he had all the heart, and great jumping strength with those compact hind quarters.

Originally Estevan was being trained in Mexico, entering the local competitions here and there. But there was more of a show ring for him in California. So he was loaded up and exported across the boarder to stay at another trainers. Sadly due to a number of close calls with wild fires in Cali, Estevan had to go some place else. There wasn't much of a market for him in Mexico. Aside from his outstanding bloodlines, and unique color, no one would believe he was a jumper unless they saw him in action. And the Gerado's did not want to part with him. So Dacion loaded up a trailer and headed to California to pick up the star of his grandfathers breeding program.

Once settled in he showed Sadea Oakleigh what Estevan could do. Thoroughly impressed with his performance, she decided to make arrangements to import some of the mares from Mexico.

That said, this is Estevan at the Bad Dream Stables show approaching the first jump.
