Wow, thank you. I'm flattered.
I really wish I'd had a better scanner back when I first drew this thing. As it is, it looks sort of blown out and grainy. :/

Looks good from my end. You have the benefit of being familiar with the original, so you can easily spot where your scanner might be lacking.
I'll probably have to replace my own scanner soon, it's got a couple of dead pixels and likes to leave artifacts in my work, which is maddening.Β

Haha yes, I suppose so.
Oh boy, that's rough. Sorry. Fortunately, I don't have that problem yet, but my scanner is kinda old, so it might be getting there.

My scanner tends to misbehave most noticeably in colour scan mode. It functions much better in black and white and gray-scale for whatever reason.

Interesting. Never run into that problem personally, but I've never really done traditional coloring, so I can't offer any perspective on it.

Eh...it's been a long time. I'm ok now. Thank you for your concern. Incidentally, this is now one of my favorite things I've ever drawn.

I think I have some ideas of why being a Christian isn't that popular nowadays.

Yeah. I think because there's been so much Christian symbolism in so many art forms, I think people are growing tired of it, saying, "Give it a restβ¦" Did you know that there were some unauthorized video games based (loosely) upon stories from the Bible? Technically, these games were released illegally since they had no endorsement from Nintendo.

Oh. I thought you were going to say something else.
I guess I didn't really think about that aspect. Religious imagery has been a huge part of European and American art for a long time.
Yeah, I did! I watch Angry Video Game more often than I should. Those are hilarious.

I'm sorry to hear about your art teacher. I know how it feels to loose a loved one.
Beautiful artwork, by the way. I honestly think that you've outdone yourself on this one. It's truly spectacular.

Thank you so much. Really? I'm sorry.
Thanks - I haven't put this much effort into a drawing in a long time, so I'm really glad you like it.

I personally do believe, there to be 'energy' or ethereal energy which is passed on after we cease to exist. Buddhism/Shintoism is what I can relate to the most...the energy and positive energy in Love. I don't think this is eerie, but enlightening to me when I view this. Looks great !Β

That's an interesting way to look at it. I'm not particularly familiar with Buddhism or Shintoism, but they've always fascinated me.
I've seen your gallery - you're an incredible artist, so to get a compliment from you is a real honor. Thank you.

I think it's a brilliant piece of art and a worthy tribute, you did a great job on his face and I love it, as always, how well you succeeded in blending together so many different elements and areas while still making it feel like one piece.

Wow - I'd never heard of him, but I looked him up, and he IS a genius. The fact that you would even make that comparison is probably the best compliment anyone's ever given me.
