Hi there! Really impressed with this photo, and I was wondering if I could use this as a cover image for one of my songs. In the song description, I will include links to both your profile here on DeviantArt and to this particular photo. Again, great picture, and thank you for your patience.

Looks cold with a hint of warmth. A pleasant composition with good use of light and dark elements.

Wow. The branches look great! They really pop out. It looks especially nice on top of the translucent lake and background.

Woda wyszła bajecznie!
I te szczegóły na drzewach... super! Bardzo podoba mi się też perspektywa powietrzna dalszych drzew.

Beautiful painting, I am curious what type/brand of paper do you use? I can never get my white areas to be nearly as bright as I want them to be, and yours are always so good.

Thank you. This picture is painted on Arches hot pressed paper, which is actually closer to ecru than white. More often I use Gamma Fabriano paper which is whiter, but not snow white.
I think more important than the hue of paper is the contrast between dark and light parts of the picture. And of course when you see the picture in the internet, the quality of colours is more dependent on my scanner and your monitor settings.

I use Arches cold pressed mostly and silly as it might seem I was not familiar with the word "ecru" so I had to look it up.

I agree that ecru is the perfect description for the colour of the Arches paper.  I also agree that contrast, scanner settings, and monitor settings are a bit part of it.

I will definitely consider all of these factors the next time I put something up for display, thanks for getting back to me.
