That is quite amazing! I usually don't trust pattern brushes to provide even with extensive noodling, but perhaps the time is ripe for a change of opinion there.

Think I'm starting to get an idea what I've been doing wrong as well. If I'm not mistaken, here there is no overlap from one application to the next, and the seam is irregularly shaped.

Well... I paint with GIMP on an eleven years old Samsung laptop. Reliable pen tilt tracking is something that happens to other people.

Yeah, no point blaming tge tools. My old workstation was literally found in an electronics dumpster - took about 75 hours of loading time on each piece, but still painted some good stuff on it. Worked for a hobby painter. Suppose that makes my hypothetical fursona a raccoon.

Say, do you use a display tablet? I've considered getting a Huion, but the reviews are all over the place.
