Bestiary artwork for Endless Realms , a D&D-like "pen and paper" fantasy RPG I'm working for.The art director came across this image of a Pompeii worm, and felt it could totally be made into an awesome monster of some sort. These blobby wormy-type monsters are actually, in a way, kind of therapeutic to draw - they're in a lot of ways, sorta free-form. I can put the lines pretty much anywhere, make up the anatomy, so it's sorta liberating, even if the thing I'm creating is sorta gross XD
Also, I really wanted to name this guy THE CATERKILLER, but we decided it was too silly :b It's okay, you'll always be the caterkiller in my mind <3
