Why yes, I am going to be coy and not show the dress in question. You might see hints of one or two dresses before prom, but I'm keeping them mostly pretty under wraps until the big night itself. Why? Because! XD
Anyway, I do admit to a bit of a fallacy on this page - that being that Maria pulls her whole phone out of one of her side pockets. I know; that's completely impossible. Girl pockets could never contain a phone! Originally, I was going to have her pull it out of her back pocket (which is more plausible), but I unwittingly gave her the "sweatshirt-around-her-waist" look in the previous page. And for some reason, I struggled with drawing her getting around that to her back pocket. So I hope you'll forgive me and suspend your disblief for this. (Moral of the story: This is why clothing designs really should be planned in advance in comics.) XD
Not much else to say except that I think these two are always so cute. But gee, what could that small catch be?

Should be interesting to see Maria make a prom dress for Chanel. I just wonder what it looks like, most people probably do, so the question is what will happen with the situation.

If it helps at all, I have exactly one pair of pants I can do that with - and it's an iPhone with one of those chunky OtterBox cases, too. So the fact that she pulls it out of her side pocket isn't TOO implausible, just unlikely (and, if you think about it, even LESS unlikely since Maria's talking about her seamstress skills right here: were I her, and had her ability, I'd re-sew larger pockets the INSTANT I bought a new pair of pants, to be honest XD). So it's not that big of a deal, from where I'm standing. Good job!

im thinking it's gonna be maria needing to take measurements of her nekked! or at least in her underwear, which might be awkward for both of them especially since Chanel is Ace and Maria is such a sweetheart she's probably never even thought about seeing her in any state of undress (at least not for very long i can understand her being a teenager and all, dem hormones)

I have skirts with real pockets in them, doesn't seem that far fetched to have pants with real pockets. We just gotta literally slap the fashion industry.

Can't wait to see what that dress looks like. As for what might be the reason why Chanel might not be comfortable with it, my guess is cleavage, since she is sensitive about the size of her breasts.
But for shits and giggles, I'm going to try to come up with other possibilities.
1) Maria is making two dresses and they are themed to a ship she is into.
2) Maria is making a dress for Chanel and is making a tux for herself.
3) Maria is making two dresses, they are the same, except one is made to fit Maria and one to fit Chanel.
(Lol, they see each other in the same dress and first thing Chanel says "Well, one of us will have to change")
4) She has subtly added the colours of the A-sexual Pride flag into the dress.
5) She has subtly added the colours of the Lesbian Pride flag into the dress.
6) She has subtly added the colours of the Pride ... nope even subtly it can be very obvious.
(Ah the times I have seen a drawn rainbow, something seemed off, then I counted the strips)
7) The dress is strapless and she is attempting for the first time to make a dress with a built-in bra.
Though some of them do seem farfetch'd, it was fun coming up with them, none the less.

Ah, there are a couple ways this could happen. Depending on the possibility it could come down to Chanel not seeing what Maria has planned for herself, the possibility that the design is not shown in colour, since Maria did say it is a rough design, the design is subtle enough that it is not noticeable on a first glance.

Lol, I can see if Maria's parents catch to the fact the the dress is not in her size, Maria would just say "Oh darn, I must have gotten the measurements wrong, somehow. Well, I might as well finish it, and see if it fits someone else.".
