You know, I know I should but I just can't get into ghost. I understand there's meant to be an irony to the cheese but I just don't get the hype.

I joke about it but I'm having a brush stroke horrorthon over here. I made a painting of a beach that's great in terms of the drawing but those brush strokes are just plain UGLY. i'm starting to think its my computer, but they really shouldn't look like that. So today I have to paint the whole thing over and maybe just try a simpler brush that doesn't have texture but has a nice shape. The more I try to find a good looking textured brush the more mushy mess I end up with. Its a nightmare lol It seems like no one else has problems with this. But I'll just keep trying
Nah, there's no such things as 'should like' when it comes to music, we either like or don't and either is valid. I just thought you might enjoy the dark vibes and imagery in their music. They have a song called Witch Image which I really love and Cirice which is just beautifully dark and epic. I guess those were the type of Ghost songs I thought you might like. With ghost its not easy to notice how technically talented they are at music or writing because of the obvious gimmicks/theatrics but i think they're surprisingly brilliant in some unexpected ways. But I also get why sometimes people just aren't having it all the way across the board lol Sometimes I can't get over how they can do some of the stuff they do with a straight face

Try just using the hard round. Play with the opacity and pressure.
I think it's quite possible to over face yourself with fancy texture brushes sometimes, throwing
everything but the kitchen sink at at the thing. I use a lot of default hard round. Once you
can paint with that thing, you'll find the rest of them a lot easier yo tackle.
I agree with that. I suppose what I meant was that a lot of people recommend them to me
based on my music taste but - I find they just don't stir my belly butterflies at all. To be fair, I've only heard the singles
and not given an album a go but I just couldn't find any meat or groove in the thing to tempt me to investigate further.
