Hi Everyone,
Happy to share the cover of the second game I have painted for an upcoming duology called Dark Ages; a massive historical civilization-building game where I had the privilege to create the interior art and design the miniatures as well.
This is (by far) the biggest and one of the most exciting assignments I have received. Both because the great amount of responsibilities I got and the subject matter, which pretty much aligns with what I like to paint for myself.

I am a proud son of the golden banner. Holy Rome was a lady of beauty, even if her outfit confused others. From the kingdoms strong to the republics free, brother hoods of knights and soldiers, and banners across the lands, the black double headed eagle flew proudly over the German people.

First it was instinct, then I rummaged through some old files to see if any were credible, then some DNA websites. Sadly most of my ancestors are crooks and nobody's, but there are some diamonds in there like a Teutonic Knight who fought in the Third Crusade, and a Hessian who fought in the American Revolution.

Mighty fine work. The poses, details and colourwork are spot on. The angle of the church in the background is well chosen as well to go with the heavy sense of the scene.
