The other day I realized that I have never even once in my life drawn Sonic the hedgehog. And I found that appalling. So here we are.

I'll admit that I'm such an old fart that I'm mostly familiar with the very first 2D games - Sonic 1 and Sonic 2 to be specific. Which is why this is based on Sonic's classic design. In fact, I'm so old that I remember reading about the upcoming Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles in video game magazines back in the early 90s. I thought they looked absolutely amazing.

Unfortunately, we didn't have any video game consoles at home, and none of my friends ever bought these games. So it took me a couple of decades before emulators and Steam-versions came along and I was finally able to play Sonic 3 & Knuckles.

Update: now I've drawn Tails too!
