I started out with the head and then developed the rest. I didn't have a particular pose in mind but I think it may have turned out a little too similar to the Snarl drawing I did a while back.

Thanks. There's loads of mistakes though, many of which are covered with shading or details. It was tricky to try and get the symmetry.

I think the symmetry is a bit out generally, but usually I don't use things like rulers that much anyway.
Yeah, lots of shading and detailing always works a treat to cover stuff up. I also started out in my thin pen, then went over sections in thicker pens, building it up.

I normally can't be asked with rulers myself.Β Besides, when I do use them, they tend to get wet ink on the sides which then gets smudged somewhere on the drawing

I think it can be anything at all really, as long as it's traditional and no pencil layer is used. I found it to beΒ a good exercise for practice.
I started off drawing a random spaceship but decided to change it to a character instead.
