Why did you decide to name this Deviation "Double-Dipping"? The reason that I'm asking this question is because Double Dipping usually means "To put a food item (like a vegetable or tortilla chip) into a dip, take a bite and put it back in."

(Pffft, poor George >~<) My titles sometimes seem more clever in my head but are probably nonsensical in reality ;~; I named it that cuz the ponies are having a dip in a spring, but there's two pairs of ponies doing so, hence....double-dipping? I think that mathematically makes sense. .x.

Hahaha, absolutely adorable and perfect! I'm biased yes (the most biased person ever), but this is such a clever idea for a scene and you did such a good job with it. And I really do love the way you draw Applejack... you make her more adorable than she is already, if that is even possible.
You know dear, I hope you don't mind my saying so here, but as I was unable to comment on your most recent Rainbow Dash picture I just wanted to say that I am sure I can relate to how you have/had been feeling. I've gone through periods even in recent past with my pony-fanart where I've felt I just can't draw anything worthwhile anymore. Or I feel overly critical of my older works (it's true I used to put much less time and effort into them but still), or envied certain artists for their skills with certain things that always seem to remain elusive to me. It's the reason that I significantly slowed down on creating fanart for a good while there, and am not nearly as prolific with new works lately as I used to be (I probably overthink them now and so spend way too much time on them). To a degree, I think such a thing is normal for most artists at some point or another, but I hope you won't let it keep you down and hold you back for too long. You really do create such great works, and I'm far from being the only person to think so.

But also importantly, thank you for sharing such honest thoughts 'Diamonds ;~; it really helps put a bit of perspective on things to know other artists deal with very much similiar problems and such, makes it easier to think you can learn to deal with it too if they could. I'm quite sorry though to hear you've dealt with such things yourself though Dear D': it's a shame to know you get troubled as well at times but I sincerly hope it never keeps you down for long either - you do such beautifully charmed and lovable works! <3

just curious but what kind of pencils do you use :3? i love doing sketches but its hard to keep the page clean got any tips ?

Just the one pencil, a regular mechanical pencil with good ol' standard HB lead. Mechanicals are nice cuz they make clean, sharp lines ^^ as for keeping my work clean, I slip a small piece of paper under my drawing hand so I don't smudge the page when doodling. hope any of this helps!

OMG THANK YOU! i use Pentel mechanical pencils, so i'll need to check what kind of lead i have. i have 2 different sizes but idk what kind of lead it is so i'l have to check that out! thank you so much for the help i really appreciate it!!

Very nice work on the detailed background scenery here especially on the smooth ripple effects, I like the relaxed and almost romantic feel of this! At least until Applebloom and Sweetie Belle ruin the party

I love the detailed scenery here, all the shading around everything in the water, it's amazing! The sparkles really fill the background... as well as the two fillies about to give their sisters a surprise.
