More like a practice, than a full-fledged deviation. Keeping myself in the form. Originally meant for scraps, but in the end it isn't so bad.3 hours throughout 5 days (yup - 15 minutes here, 15 minutes there)

I'm using this as my wallpaper for my dual monitors... its perfect considering the split doesn't destroy the integrity of the imagery... kinda enhances it.

No, I don't mind - the procedure is quite simple, really.
1.) Go to [link]
2.) Find some photoshop space tutorials (there is quite a lot of them on the net)
3.) Start practicing
4.) In about 1-2 years of practice you should know how to create a space scene like this.

Take a brush, paint a texture, use some photos if you want (for textures), spherize. Take a tablet, paint a nebulae. Add a noise for stars. Adjust, then duplicate and blur. Adjust. Add a signature and borders. Release.

Awesome man, one thing maybe make the blue strokes look abit less "Motion Blur'd" like make it abit less obvious. But otherwise perfect

Doesn't need the sig though, a landscape photographer doesn't embed his name in the image anywhere (but maybe next to it, or beneath in credits).
Sorry, just see heaps of peoples doing awesome stuff to have the composition off-balanced by affluent signatures.

If you look into my gallery, you'll find out that I don't do it (I don't like it too). But this piece isn't meant for print or as a wallpaper. It's just a koncept - I didn't expect that it would recieve so much attention.
