Description An inept little cartoon inspired by *ls269 's Challenge submission, 'Days of Dunder' ~ " Dumbledore, with his mild-mannered curiosity and youthful blue eyes, reminded Severus of a child at the zoo, sucking on a sherbet lemon, watching the tigers prowling back and forth, and occasionally remarking on how fascinating it all was. I was intrigued by Lucy's take on the young Professor, and the minefield between him and Dumbledore.

And there were TIGERS!!

Hurrah for glowing pjs! What a great contrast with Snape's socks (which are perfect).

Seriously, I know people like this. Supremely serene, they wonder what all the fuss is about, when life is basically so simple. For whom the tiger's roar is just a kitty purring. Who never notice that there is always at least one other person (if not several) with a foot jammed in the nearest beast's mouth coming between them and catastrophe.

This inspires me to read that wonderful fic again.

Oh, Lucy, it's crude . . . I hope I haven't done too glaring a mistake w/ Dumble. But since you're OK with making fun of him in the first place. . . .Snape with Dumbledore brings to mind a conversation with God and the Devil, where God informs the Devil it's his job to be universally hated, and God's job to be universally loved. And then God says, "Have fun with that !"

I don't think it's crude at all! It's a cartoon that captures their dynamic perfectly. Dumbledore's got a lot of potential as a comedy character, I think, especially when he's oblivious to Snape's fuming!

By the way, I'm catching up with your fic finally ... "SLowly but surely" (is it english ? Well, anyway, it's a very useful french expression) - and I'm at this chapter, with Severus slapping the door after a discussion with Albus - really, I can feel his fury and exasperation, as Albus's way... Poor Severus, he will never have any rest out off the difference of visions in this cruel word... Great.

Yes, slowly but surely is an expression in English too. How do you say it in French? 'Doucement mais completement'? (That's probably not right, is it? Gently but completely? My French is terrible!) Anyway, I'm so glad you're catching up with the fic, I really hope you're enjoying it! And yes, Sev's frustration with Dumbledore is a big theme there too. I love writing their arguments!
